California Tomato Growers Association, Inc. Announces
Appointment of Ronald Schuler as Interim COO

STOCKTON, CA, August 28, 2003 – The California Tomato Growers Association, Inc. today announced that Ronald Schuler, effective September 2, 2003, will become the Interim COO of the California Tomato Growers Association. Mr. Schuler was the former President and CEO of the California Canning Peach Association.

“There is no one better to represent the CTGA through this exciting transition, then an industry veteran like Ron Schuler,” said Don Cameron, Chairman of the Board of the CTGA. “The CTGA has been working hard to position itself for the future and is working to get closer to our members, as well as processors, throughout the state. Ron will help us begin this process.”

Mr. Schuler has been an active participant in California agriculture much of his career and is Past Chairman of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives.

The CTGA has actively begun a search for a Permanent COO, which it hopes to fill when the right candidate emerges.
The California Tomato Growers Association, Inc., a grower owned Association headquartered in Stockton, Calif., has been dedicated to representing the interests of processing tomato growers statewide for over half a century. CTGA provides economic, public policy and business leadership for the benefit of growers and the industry. Its member services include bargaining, communications and advocacy to ensure the stability, viability and prosperity of the industry.
